All cookie bakers share at least one thing in common, they make cookie dough. If your favorite cookie baker is just getting started, they may still be doing this using the old school method… by hand. If that’s the case, it’s definitely time for an upgrade! I started my cookie making days with a 5-Speed Cuisinart Hand Mixer. For a gift giving bonus, they come in lots of stunning colors to compliment any kitchen!
An electric hand mixer is a great start but for serious cookie makers a stand mixer is practically a necessity. There are different brand and size options. I own a KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Mixer and love it! Once again, the color options seem endless.
The toughest cookie fanatic to shop for is the serious baker who already has a stand mixer (or two!). That’s where the Metro Beater Blade comes in. This attachment for the KitchenAid stand mixer has rubber wings running down both sides that scrape down the bowl as it mixes. It cuts mixing time by up to 50%! And, of course, customizing with different color options is a must.
Space Saving Cooling Racks
When counter space is limited, multi-tiered cooling racks can be a life saver. The Wilton 3-Tier Cooling Rack is stackable, collapsible, has a non-stick coating, and is safe to clean in the dishwasher. The Linden Sweden 4-Tier Cooling Rack will come in extra handy with its four adjustable racks.
Adjustable Rolling Pin
Adjustable rolling pins make it convenient and easy to bake cookies that are the perfect thickness every time. I love to use my trusty Joseph Joseph Adjustable Rolling Pin!
Unique Cookie Cutters
No cookie enthusiast can ever have enough cookie cutters. Think outside the box and get your favorite baker unique cookie cutters to add to their collection. How about a 3-D Cookie Cutter Set or Ninjabread Men Cookie Cutters?
Fun Cookie Apparel
Encourage your favorite cookie maker to flaunt their baking skills with Cakey & Bakey tees and aprons by Captain Leisure. I love the t-shirt Santa brought me for Christmas last year!
Cookie Decorating Books
Whether they are a newbie or an old pro, there is always lots for any cookie decorator to learn. One of my favorite cookie decorating books is Cookie Craft. It’s filled with tons of helpful tips and yummy recipes, like my favorite chocolate sugar cookie recipe. Julia M. Usher is a cookie decorating genius who shares how to make a collection of her stunning designs in Ultimate Cookies. Bridget Edwards is another talented cookie decorator that shares her techniques through her blog, Bake at 350, and her book, Decorating Cookies.
Pretty Cookie Packaging Supplies
Cookie presentation is almost as important as cookie taste. Your favorite cookie guru would love cookie boxes from BRP Box Shop that they can use for packaging their treats. They come in many different shapes and sizes so putting together a collection for gifting is easy.
Cookie Gadgets and Utensils
A cookie press is a handy little device for making spritz cookies. The OXO Good Grips Cookie Press comes with a set of discs for creating different cookie shapes and additional themed disc sets can be purchased separately.
Cookie dough scoops come in different sizes and make it easy to properly proportion dough for baking. A set including three sizes is a great start towards accommodating any cookie baking need.
Silpat non-stick baking mats prevent the chore of scraping baked cookies off of cookie sheets.
