These were one of my first batches of sugar cookies that I decorated with royal icing and I decided to go big and make them double-decker cookies. Every once in a while it’s fun to go back through the archives and look at photos of cookies you have long since forgotten. You of course look at them hoping that your cookie decorating (and photographing!) skills have improved. Don’t judge me too harshly.
One thing that hasn’t changed is that I still plan my cookie decorating by making sketches.
I think my hubby’s favorite thing about this cookie set was the double-decker cookies!
This was my first time playing with sparkling sugar. I now have a growing collection of colors and may be developing a slight obsession! You can see the different ways that I have used sanding sugar on my tulip cookies, my patriotic apple pie pockets, and my Star Wars light saber cookies.
These looks so nice!
Thanks, Pamela!
Darling, Jennifer!!! I haven’t tried any layered cookies yet. These are really cuties!
